Blurb :

Bridesmaids meets Buffy with a dash of the seven deadly sins.

The age-old story of what happens when a foul-mouthed, romance impaired heroine with no edit button and a predilection for hot sex is faced with her worst nightmare–a purpose

Ari Katz is intelligent, driven, and will make an excellent demon hunter once initiated into the Brotherhood of David. However, this book is about his twin Nava: a smart-ass, self-cultivated hot mess, who is thrilled her brother is stuck with all the chosen one crap.

When Nava half-drunkenly interrupts Ari’s induction ceremony, she expects to be chastised. What she doesn’t expect is to take her brother’s place among the–until now–all-male demon hunters. Even worse? Her infuriating leader is former rock star Rohan Mitra.

Too bad Rohan’s exactly what Nava’s always wanted: the perfect bad boy fling with no strings attached, because he may also be the one to bring down her carefully erected emotional shields. That’s as dangerous as all the evil fiends vying for the bragging rights of killing the only female ever chosen for Demon Club.

Odds of survival: eh.

Odds of having a very good time with Rohan before she bites it: much better.

My Musings :

Nice work on the book name! It sure made me give it a second look. And the book cover? It's so colourful and gives attitude which perfectly suits Nava and gives a hint of what is coming in the tale.

There are times when I look at a book and the author and give it a chance without an inkling of what is going to happen. And there are times when I regret it but.. there's a big but because this one? It rocked! I  was laughing out loud at Nava's antics by the end of a couple of chapters.

The author has done a great job of hooking the reader with a bit of fun at the start with Nava's misbehavior. There were a few emotional parts too with the way the family doesn't believe in her. It had me frowning and feeling for Nava. But it passed and Nava was back in business annoying and making people fall in like with her at the end.

The author's writing makes for so much fun. It's easy to read and follow. The flow is amazing because I was so into the story I didn't realise that it was a longer book actually. There was no pause at all in the action and humorous situations to bore me. My reaction at the end was like ' I have to read the next book NOW! ' I am so looking forward to the sequel and when I saw the book cover on Goodreads, Nava's pose totally had me giggling. I can imagine what kind of trouble she is going to be! But I digress.

I actually loved the concept of a lone girl among the guys. It had me hopping in excitement to know what kind of trouble Nava is going to bring for them. Each person of the Brotherhood is unique and likeable. And the most likeable person? Nava, of course! Though she has lots of attitude, she has a vulnerable side to her which I can connect with. She is so loveable because of it. And speaking of Rohan, I was biased about him even in the first scene where I met him because of his name. Enough said! He is so tough and rough and has a light side to him at times. I am looking to knowing more about Star Rohan.

I can go on and on about the book but I would like to wrap up saying that if I have a chance to read the author's works, I would unhesitatingly pick them up.

I received a copy for reviewing purposes. This doesn't affect my review in any way.

My one line review : A fun tale which will make you laugh and sit up straight in equal parts.

My rating : 5/5

My reread factor : 4/5

Meet the Author:

A global wanderer, hopeless romantic, and total cynic with a broken edit button, Deborah writes adult urban fantasy to satisfy her love of smexy romances and tales of chicks who kick ass. She is all about the happily-ever-after, with a huge dose of hilarity along the way. “It takes a bad girl to fight evil. Go Wilde.”
