Book Musings - Falling for the Billionaire Wolf and His Baby by Sasha Summers

Title : Falling for the Billionaire Wolf and His Baby
Author : Sasha Summers
Series : Blood Moon Brotherhood #1
Genre : Paranormal Romance
Source : Netgalley

Blurb :

When Jessa Talbot’s boss offered her a promotion, she agreed—no questions asked. Her family needed the money, but fighting the attraction she feels for her brooding employer is tough. Worse, she instantly bonds with his infant son she’s caring for. But this is a temporary solution and she can’t get attached to either of them.

Finnegan Dean is cursed. He’s a nicely dressed monster, the wolf inside always looking for a way out. But there are two things he and his wolf agree on. They must protect baby Oscar and Jessa—his mate. While the wolf hungers to seal their bond, Finn fights the instinct. After all, if he really cares for her, he’d never doom her to the life he lives.

My Musings :

I confess I was hesitant to pick up this book. I usually first look at the book cover and this one didn't appeal to me at all. But the blurb was at odds with it and so I had to take a chance and try out the new author and the book!

After finishing the book, I was kicking myself because I don't know how I missed this author. I loved the story. It didn't leave much time for me to get bored or get deviated from the storyline. From the beginning to the end, the book had me in its grasp and it only spit me out at the end.

The writing was engaging and the story was fast paced. The romance was steamy and the protagonists' interactions were in turns swoon worthy and sizzing. Jessa is a total good girl with big responsibilities and I love her falling for Finn who is THE Alpha! I was literally drooling at Finn's hotness. He is the kind of Alpha hero I absolutely love! And add the members of the Brotherhood to them and you have a cast of guys who you can dream about.

The tale is full of sweet romance, hear-me-roar heroism, strong friendship and suspenseful danger. In spite of being a romance, there were enough twists and turns to keep my mind occupied. There are still lots of questions unanswered and I think the future books in the series would lead to the answers. For now, though, there are certain aspects of the story which have saddened me like the case of Mal and the ending. I felt the Mal situation could have been avoided and well, the end isn't the end at all. Now I have to keep waiting for the next book.

I look forward to the sequels for more captivating stories.

I received a copy for reviewing purposes from Entangled publishing through Netgalley.

My one line review : An engaging paranormal book with elements of romance and danger.

My rating : 4/5

My reread factor : 3/5
