My Musings :

I received a free copy for an honest review via CBB Promotions

I was quite intrigued when I read the blurb and so was interested in reading and reviewing it.

The book started off in a series of chapters from different points of view of different groups of characters. That was a bit difficult for me to handle. And it took a while for me to get the hang of the tale. It was certainly a unique experience reading this book. The author's writing was quite old mannered. It had an old world feel with the language and the flow of the descriptions.

The characters left their imprint on the reader with their actions and relationships and their emotions. They are well crafted and increase the interest in the story. The concept of this book being a fantasy read isn't totally right. This is more of a mixture of literary fiction with paranormal and fantastical elements though it read as more than a normal fantasy book.

I am quite looking forward to following the journeys of all the characters, more so of Morigan which is sure to be interesting as implied in the epilogue.

My rating : 4/5
