My Musings :

*I received a free copy from the author*

I enjoyed this book from the start to finish.

The characters were well crafted. The heroine, Annie is my type of girl. She is full of spunk and attitude. People keep saying that she is too nice in the book. But I don't agree with it at all. She is so full of sass and vinegar at times that she doesn't come across as too nice in any situation. As for the hero, the suspense was riveting. At first, I saw Nick as the antagonist and Derek as the hero even though Nick had my attention from the start and Derek didn't impress me as a hero material. Then as the story progressed, my outlook totally changed and by the end, I fell in love with Nick.

The supporting cast was built well, full of unique personalities and they supported Annie and Nick well in their journey against bad characters. The story had twists and turns which made it interesting to read. It flowed well and all the scenes meshed well. The adventurous ride had me on my toes throughout the book anticipating each and every action and reaction.

I was quite surprised that I hadn't read this book earlier. Now I count the author as one of my To Read ones in the future.

My one line review : An intense twisty ride of good against bad

My rating : 4/5

My reread factor : 4/5
