Both are bound to a common goal with different motives but destiny has its own motive. A walk in the rain is an intricate tale of intense emotions, driven by hair raising twists and turns.

My Musings :
The first line of the blurb was the hook which had me interested in the book. I didn't know how apt the cover and the book title are until I almost finished the book. In that respect, I would rate the book the highest.
When I started reading the book, I was fascinated by the characters and the way the author had weaved the story. But as it progressed, I had difficulty keeping my attention from wandering from the book. I know this sounds bad but hear me out. I was finding it hard to deal with the past scenes - flashbacks because I felt those were a bit contrived. This is my sole opinion so others might not find it so! The interactions between Sandy and Sunny while cute in the beginning became a bit repetitive and annoying at times. I liked their present scenes better.
Now that I have gotten out what I didn't like, let me tell you guys what I liked about the tale. The mix of thrill, danger and passive romance was an instant hit with me. The scenes were interwoven in an intriguing manner to follow the flow of the story. The pace was quite fast as opposed to the slow rhythm of the past. The language was simple and easy to read which further helped in making it a fast read.
The characters, each of them, had a vital role, from the protagonists in their race for revenge to Bhuvan to Hari to Irfan to Steven to Sam. Each person made a huge impact on Sunny and Sandy's story. I loved the supporting cast of this tale. The author has done a commendable job of scripting good characters. As for Sunny and Sandy, I preferred Sandy. She has grit and determination and though she gets a bad lot in life, she faces it with pride. Sunny kind of disappointed me. He was too introverted for me. Yes, he didn't show much except for his yearning for Sunny, his anger and narrow mindedness.
This was a good introduction to the author's work. There were few scenes which felt filmy to me especially the ending. If you guys want to read a book without much pressure and enjoy a bit of bollywood style entertainment, this book is for you.
My one line review : A mix of thriller and romance with a filmy feel.
My rating : 4/5
My reread factor : 3/5
