My Musings :
The book is as sweet as the name suggests. This is a fun read which made me feel good at the end with it's fluffiness.
It has one of my favourite romance themes, friends-to-lovers as the base of the story and I liked it very much. This is the first book I have read by the author and I loved her style of writing.
The author has spotlighted the good and the bad of the protagonists and this caused me to have a clear cut view of the characters to better understand their feelings and thoughts. I liked and hated Jessie because of the way she is oblivious to Nate's attraction. She is one character whom I was able to relate to easily because who doesn't have insecurities about themselves? Though I feel that it was a bit overdone. Now Nate stole my heart from the starting and I absolutely loved him! The way he goes out of his way for Jessie and even Quinn, the rat made me fall in love with him. I ask you how can anyone resist him? *Sigh*
The way the book is set in a small town adds to the quaint feeling of the story and the story flows without any obstruction from scene to scene. It seems clear to me that Jessie and Nate are destined for each other and this is their story of finding their way to each other.
This is a charming tale of two friends falling in love with each other and it kept me entertained with the various humorous incidents and the emotion filled drama which unfolds flawlessly in the book. This is one light read which satisfied my need for a week night romance book yearning.
My one line review : A light fluffy fun romantic read with humour and a little bit of drama
My rating : 4/5
My reread factor : 4/5
